**Attention F1rst Class Fitness Members**
We are super excited to announce that we will be reopening for general gym access on Tuesday the 2nd of June at 5am!
Yes, we’re opening sooner than expected, tomorrow in fact, with the QLD Governments Stage 2 easing of restrictions plan being brought forward by 2 weeks at very short notice.
Now, before we get into the nitty-gritty details of our reopening, from all the team at F1rst Class Fitness, we would like to say a massive thank you to all our members, supporters and other interested parties for your ongoing help, assistance and generosity through this very challenging time – it is sincerely appreciated. As a locally owned and family operated business, we wouldn’t be able to survive if it wasn’t for the support of our community.
So what next..? Well, we’ve been working hard the past month and a half, and in particular the past 24 hours, to ensure F1rst Class Fitness is 100% ready and safe for your next visit, and we’ve appreciated your understanding and patience as we get ready.
ZONING & CAPACITY
F1rst Class Fitness has 2 zones within the gym that include 24/7 General Gym Area (cardio, free weights, lifting platforms, plate & pin loaded machines, personal training), and the Group Fitness Room.
The capacity for the the two areas combined is 20 at any one time, including staff. Bookings for the open gym floor will be for either 30, 45 or 60 minutes and all group fitness classes will be 45 minutes in length.
What we ask our members is that you arrive for your session at your booked training time and that you leave a minute or two before your booked training time is scheduled to be completed.
As of Tuesday the 2nd, we will be operating with a booking system to ensure we can utilise our space as efficiently as possible within the Government’s capacity guidelines and to reduce waiting times or turning members away. Members are asked to make a booking for both general gym workouts and group fitness classes.
Booking is only available to members who have registered in our Flexbook system found on the F1rst Class Fitness website and this process takes around 2 minutes to complete.
Once you have registered, you can book for sessions for up to 7 days in advance.
Bookings are encouraged but are not compulsory to attend all sessions or classes. If you arrive and have not made a booking, we can’t guarantee you’ll be granted entry until a training space has become available.
KEY POINTS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
- No towel, no entry. We have had to discontinue our towel service due to CovidSafe guidelines. Please bring a towel
- Bring water. Our water bubbler is temporarily out of service due to CovidSafe guidelines as well. You can buy bottled water at front counter or bring your own.
- Please make a booking. This is not compulsory but it is advised.
- Get in, train, get on with your day 🙂 We don’t want to rush you but we do want to get as many members as possible through for a session.
- Please clean your equipment before and after use.
- Avoid sharing of equipment and spotting where it is safe to do so.
MEMBER ACCESS & HYGIENE – 4 Step Process
The team at F1rst Class Fitness has come up with a Covid safe plan that will enable us to safely welcome our members back now that we’ve been given the green light, in what will be the new normal gym environment until we are clear of this Corona virus.
So what will a visit at F1rst Class Fitness look like when we reopen tomorrow? Well, this is what you can expect at your next gym visit at F1rst Class Fitness:
Step 1 – Jump on to the F1rst Class Fitness website or call our admin team during gym staffed hours to book your session. We will initially be restricted to 20 people inside the gym until stage three restrictions come in to effect.
Step 2 – On arriving at the gym, please sanitise your hands before touching the member access gate and maintain a safe distance of 1.5m between you and other members. Once inside and checked in for your workout, we will then ask you to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds prior to entering the gym floor.
Step 3 – Cleaning and sanitation stations will be scattered conveniently around the gym for you to clean your equipment before and after use.
Step 4 – Once you have completed your workout, we will again ask you to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before leaving the gym feeling energised, positive and happy about getting on with your day.
Yes! We will be getting our classes underway again on Thursday the 4th of June at 630am. Our set timetable is now 3 x 45-minute classes (Monday – Thursday) and 2 x 45 min classes on Friday (subject to change based on demand for classes).
All your favourites will be there with HIIT, HIRT, MAX-HR, Superspin and Primal classes being run. Please see our Group Fitness Timetable for more info and to make a booking.
We are aware of how challenging it has been having your typical exercise routine disrupted and the effect that it has on your overall health and wellbeing. We are also aware that not everyone is ready to return to exercise and if that is you, please contact our team to discuss your options.
If your membership was automatically suspended on the 23rd of March 2020, your membership will automatically recommence on Tuesday the 2nd of June 2020.
Monday to Thursday: 630am – 4pm
Friday: 630am – 12 noon
